Mbojo Blessed shares how Saint Charles Medical Foundation’s vocational training support gave him renewed hope and a practical path forward in Baba I, Cameroon.
Training: Motorcycle Mechanics
Programme: Youth Vocational Training Programme
My name is Mbojo Blessed. I am 19 years old and come from Baba I village in the North West Region of Cameroon. I was raised by a single mother who is caring for 10 children while also struggling with mental health challenges. We have no relatives to support us, and life has always been extremely difficult.
After completing my basic education, I was never able to continue school or learn a skill because of our financial situation. The Anglophone crisis made things even worse for my family. We faced hardship every day, and I felt like my future had no direction.
I am truly grateful to a friend who told me about the Youth Vocational Training Programme organised by the Saint Charles Medical Foundation (SCMF). He helped me apply, and I was blessed to be selected. I am now undergoing a two-year training in Motorcycle Mechanics, a skill that is already giving me hope and a sense of purpose.

This opportunity has changed my life. It has given me the chance to build a future where I can support myself, my mother, and my siblings. I am deeply thankful to SCMF for bringing hope into my life and into the lives of my family.
