St Charles Medical Foundation is dedicated to making quality healthcare services available and accessible to everyone, regardless of their income, creed or social status. We are particularly interested in reaching out and supporting vulnerable children and pregnant women. We have affected a number of lives over the years but there is always more to be done. Meet Our Trustees

Charles Deba

Charles Deba

Founder · CEO · Trustee

Charles Deba is the Founder, Chief Executive, and a Trustee of Saint Charles Medical Foundation UK. A trained Adult General Nurse with over nine years of experience.

He works as a Surgical Nurse and Team Leader at Mid Cheshire NHS Foundation Trust. Charles has completed more than 500 outreach visits in remote Cameroonian villages and also serves as President of the Foundation in Cameroon. He owns Saint Charles Clinic in Douala and holds qualifications including a Master of Public Health, a Diploma in Adult Nursing, and diplomas in Business Administration, Project Management, and Leadership and Management.

Cythia Abie

Cythia Abie

Chair · Trustee

Cythia Abie is the Chair of Saint Charles Medical Foundation UK and an experienced Marketing and Communications Officer with a strong background in the non profit sector.

She has supported the delivery of over 15 community projects and holds a B.Sc. in Communication and Journalism from the University of Buea, along with a Diploma in Social Services from the UK. Skilled in leadership, communication, and project coordination, Cythia also brings healthcare experience from her role as a Clinical Support Worker at Leighton Hospital.

Cijo Philip

Cijo Skariah Philip

Trustee

Cijo Skariah Philip is a dedicated Trustee of Saint Charles Medical Foundation UK and a highly skilled Adult Nurse with over six years of professional experience in the United Kingdom.

He currently serves as a Respiratory Trained Senior Nurse at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where he demonstrates exceptional clinical expertise and compassion. He holds a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery and brings a strong commitment to advancing healthcare standards and supporting vulnerable communities.

Frida Kibet

Trustee

Frida is a registered nurse with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, committed to promoting health, wellbeing, and community support.

She brings practical clinical experience, strong communication skills, and a compassionate approach to her role as a trustee. She is passionate about contributing to ethical decision making and supporting the charity’s mission to make a positive impact.
