Rena Mbota shares how Saint Charles Medical Foundation gave her a way to rebuild her future through tailoring and fashion design training in Limbe, Cameroon.
Training: Tailoring and Fashion Design
Programme: Youth Vocational Training Programme
My name is Rena Mbota. I am 23 years old and the second-to-last of five children. I currently live in Limbe, Cameroon. I completed my education up to the Advanced Level, but I was unable to continue my studies because of the ongoing Anglophone crisis.

During the crisis, our home was burned down, and my family and I were forced to live in the bush for nearly two years before we could begin rebuilding our lives. Those years were extremely difficult, and finding a way forward felt almost impossible.

I am deeply grateful to one of my mother’s friends who told us about the Saint Charles Medical Foundation and their support programme for victims of the crisis. I applied, and by God’s grace, I was selected.
Thanks to this opportunity, I am now receiving training in Tailoring and Fashion Design, a skill that will empower me to build a stable future for myself and my family. I am committed to giving my best throughout the training, and I truly believe this programme will transform my life and help us rise from the challenges we have faced.

Thank you to the Saint Charles Medical Foundation for giving me this chance and restoring hope in my future.
