My name is Ajang Precious, and I am an Internally Displaced Person from the South West Region of Cameroon. The Anglophone crisis forced my family and me to flee our home in Kumba, leaving behind our livelihood, stability, and everything we once knew. Life became extremely difficult, and like many young people affected by the civil war, I lost the opportunity to continue my education or learn a skill that could help me build a better future.

I applied for the plumbing training programme because I have always wanted to learn a practical skill that would allow me to become independent and support my family. Plumbing is a trade that is always needed, especially in communities where water and sanitation challenges have worsened due to the crisis. By learning this skill, I hope to earn an income, help my family rebuild, and contribute positively to my community.

Being selected by Saint Charles Medical Foundation has given me renewed hope. This opportunity means more than just learning a trade. It is a chance to rise above the hardship caused by displacement and the civil conflict.

I am deeply grateful to SCMF for supporting displaced youths like me and giving us the opportunity to learn, grow, and transform our lives. Thank you for giving people like me the chance to rebuild our future with dignity.

Support more lives through Saint Charles Medical Foundation.
