My name is Yogyou Denis, I am 18 years old and come from Baba I village in the North West Region of Cameroon. I am the fourth child in a family of nine, and part of a larger polygamous household with a total of sixteen children. Growing up in such a family meant constant competition for very limited resources.

My father is a bike rider who earns very little, and his income was never enough to support all his children. As a result, my siblings and I were not able to go to school or learn any skills. The ongoing civil war made our situation even worse, leaving us with almost no opportunities and deepening our struggles.

When I heard about the Saint Charles Medical Foundation (SCMF) Vocational Training Programme, I applied and was blessed to be selected. I am now undergoing a two-year training in Mechanics, a skill that is giving me hope, confidence, and a real chance to change my life.

\n

This opportunity is not just for me. It is for my entire family. SCMF has greatly impacted my life. When I graduate and start my own workshop, I plan to support my siblings and also train and employ other young people who are facing the same challenges I once faced.

I am truly grateful to SCMF for giving me this opportunity and restoring hope in my future.

Support more lives through Saint Charles Medical Foundation.
